9pm – 11.30pm

The Trailblaze will be followed by:

The main highlight of the Festival will again take place in the Great Hall of  the Temple Gate Hotel as we invite  Irish kirtan legend and international shinning light, JACK HARRISON and band to the stage .
(9.00-11.00pm)

kirtan is 1 of the 8 limbs of yoga – a practice of devotional chant and over the last 10 years, Jack and his band have grown into International stars of Kirtan -weaving Irish mythology into the mix. They have travelled the world singing at International yoga festivals and body and soul gatherings. They are both old friends of the yoga studio and have sung many times in Ennis before but never to a gathering so large.

It is a hugely uplifting, connected experience with space for people to chant with the band, to dance, to move or just to watch and enjoy.

Spanda is the name given to the connection of heart and music and Jack weaves a magical Spanda wherever he goes.
It is impossible to leave a kirtan session with Jack and the band without feeing a shift in consciousness and the gathering of 100+ people singing and chanting together will be incredible powerful.

Because the chants are in Sanskrit and the words themselves are of
no real “meaning” to our logical brains we get swept into a state of meditation focusing only on the vibration of sound moving through the body . The vibrational charges resonate at different energy centers in the body and so open us up in a whole new way.

We see this night ending in a more social way as we light our lanterns of intent and light up the night sky of Ennis in celebration of our coming together.

We plan to have a late night social gathering in the hotel bar for anyone who enjoys the more social aspect to a weekend away – all other events are alcohol – drug free.
